Loops & Whorls
for Boys & Girls

On October 25, 2008, Loops & Whorls for Boys & Girls,
a project to provide child identification to as many
parents as possible, was conducted at the annual Union
Mill Fall Festival. This project was sponsored by the
DC Chapter of the Society of Former Special Agents
of the FBI and supported by the National Child Identification
Program, the FBI, and Troop 577. As a result, 161 children
were fingerprinted and photographed and over 200 child
ID kits were handed out. The best part was watching
the kid's faces who won prizes in a drawing. Thanks
to everyone who helped, it was a great success - Matt

A Bridge for LRR
Jonathan Blake's Eagle Project
Jonathan Blake and a host of volunteers, both scout
and adult, braved the summer heat to construct a bridge
for the LRR trail system. Planning and building the
bridge was a challenging but rewarding for Jonathan. You
can see the bridge near the lower drainage area on
South Springs Dr.
